Snapshots

Hello there all,

Here is a glimpse of around here lately.

Bought the shoes of my dreams...so many feet pictures ahead.

Women's March! It said Nasty. I watched the Y deflate...it was so sad.

Women's march in PDX

This painter along the side of march. I wonder how much that painting will go for?

Left-my sign, right-my friend's sign that I could never get to with 70,000+ marchers in Portland

Breakfast is my favorite thing to eat out

Making some earrings to sell...eventually

Our backyard with the recent-ish snowstorm

Just painting away...
2 weeks later and the snow is still holding on...It is supposed to come back later this week....ugh!

Pretty exciting stuff ;)

Snapshots

Hello there all,

I haven't done one of these posts in a long while, and I like how they used to "force" me to document everyday life. I'm hoping to get back into that habit.

Worked on lots of mail to send out to family and friends. I'm a big lover of snail mail. Let me know if you want mail :).

Always thrifting. We saw this little guy, and we so hoped that he was an actual metal dino, but he was a craft project gone not so well.

My planner for 2017-I think that it is adorable! Let's see if I actually keep it up.

I just love rocks. This is in our bedroom. ALSO, you get a sneak peak at my awesome galaxy nightstand.

The Mister and I found these ridiculous magnetic Cirque Du Soleil-esque people, and we have been having way too much fun with them putting them in random positions and locations. Also, I have a thing for magnets...

Snowmageddon 4? has hit Oregon again. It sure makes our house look cute, though.

Snapshots

Hello there all,
This week has been full of too much heat, beautiful people,  and crafts!

I adore moments like these of sitting on the patio just doing our own thing but being together.

Recently,  all of my shoes decided to die,  so I have been doing some major shoe shopping lately. Fun fact: I may be the only girl that hates shoe shppping.

National Donut day breakfast before partaking in more donuts at work...

Found what might be our new burger joint: Slowburger.  Sooooooo good.

Asian market mall.  Love.

Cutesie outdoor seating for the birthday celebration for some of my favorite people: Annie,  Vanessa,  and Rend.

Definite summer in these neck of the woods.  Homemade popsicles for the win!

Hands down THE cutest mural that I have ever seen.

Snapshots

Hello there all,

This was my first official week back having a car, and it has been glorious. I feel like so many more opportunities are open to me, and I have this heightened sense of independence again. I missed this.

Here is the week in review:

Had tea in one of my favorite tea shops. There are many memories in this magical train. What do I love most about this place? Do you see that it is a car? They even have some of the old seating available to sit in. It is kind of magical.

Just a delicious Solstice Mocha at Rain or Shine Coffee . This place is definitely one of my go to coffee places.

What do YOU call this guy? Roly poly? Potato bug? Pill bug? Something else?  Let me know in the comments.

Always junking. I rarely buy any of the stuff at antique stores, but I just love the stories of these things. Also, who knows what weird thing you will find?

This  place had delicious food and a great amount of gaming opportunities: darts, foosball, pool, board games, shuffleboard, etc. But this might be the creepiest entrance to a pub ever.

Enjoyed some delicious/HUGE burritos at Blue Goose Cantina for my friend, Annie's, birthday.

On a whim, I went to a park semi-close to my work because I needed to kill some time. It was about 15 minutes of trail where I saw no one but butterflies, bunnies, snakes, and delightful flora. It was a magical place, so in Autumn fashion, I left a little note to share some "love".

Fun fact: I have a small collection of old black and white images that I think tell a story. Over the weekend, I added these guys to the collection. Aren't they marvelous?

Snapshots

Hello there all,

I slacked off last week with a Snapshots post because I didn't take too many pictures last week.  It would've been boring!  However,  this has been one eventful week.

After a very blah day,  I chose to use that negative energy and turn it into something good.  I left this little surprise for a stranger on the sidewalk.

Killing time at a bus stop.

My co-workers (and I)  were in need of a little uplift,  so I brought an insane amount of donuts to work.

Found this silly note on a walk.  What is the "nauber"?  I need to know!

This girl got an awesome new car!  YAY!  There will be a post all about this soon!

Went to Casa Del Matador with some loverly friends in search of the best nachos in Portland.  Unfortunately,  I do not feel like these are the best,  but they ARE dang good.  I am just very picky and serious about my nachos.

Here are the Texas size nachos.  Soooo big.  Soooooo good,  but I don't think they are THE best.

Went to Bipartisan Cafe before going to the Academy Theater to watch Song of the Sea. Real talk: Song of The Sea is probably one of the most beautiful movies that I have ever seen.  It is an animated film that uses various styles,  and it was just so gorgeous.  I felt incredibly inspired afterwards.

Earring collection

What would a weekend be without a trip to Hungry Heart?

Frozen yogurt is good for all ailments.

Creative field trips are necessary and wonderful.  Plus you never know what you can find on these trips.

Just one of my recent silly drawings. It just a cutesie little forest.

Snapshots

Hello there all,

Get a load of all the awesomeness recently.

Tour inside the stone cabin at Leach Botanical Garden.

Delicious pizza and drinks at O'Malley's

Guys, real talk: I think that I may have a Hungry Heart problem. I should at least consider becoming a business partner. Seriously, I want to go there for breakfast everyday.

Just some of the reading material around here lately. "Currently Reading" post coming soon!

I love everything about El Cubo de Cuba. Their food is ridiculously amazing and leaves me randomly hankering for it. They also have great staff and fun vibes (check out the graffiti wall and real plants covering the ceiling). Also, I am currently listening to Cuban music because of this place.

On May the Fourth, we ventured to Imperial Taproom where the crowd was cheering along with Return of the Jedi (my kind of people).

In case you haven't figured it out, I am pretty about waffles. The Mister and I tried out a new food cart pod on Division, and we ate at Smaaken. It was good and definitely fulfilled my urge for waffle-y goodness. However, it fell short of some other great waffle places.

Rock hiding like always: "Aren't you a little short for a storm trooper?"

Just another foot picture. I felt like I was so Portland, too Portland this day.

For Mother's Day, we went to Saturday Market and had brunch at The Original which always has something tasty. In the middle of the "dinerant", they have a neat little succulent garden that made me swoon.

Some days, my job is way cooler than other days like Cinco De Mayo where I got to have virgin margaritas with all of my olderlies.
