Snapshots

Hello there all,

Here is the last week in review because a picture is a lot better than reading a thousand words

8.)

The Sitch on the pictures:
1.) My brother and my nephew being adorable with each other while we were all out having dinner for my other nephew's and my birthday.
2.) An adorable beer can bicycle that the mister made me. It was originally a part of the birthday scavenger hunt, but he liked it too much to wait to give it away.
3.) I cracked the Mister's Mulan cherry. We then learned all about how your duty is to your heart in Mulan 2.
4.) I am slllllowly getting the hang of my sewing machine.
5.) This week has been a particularly rough week on public transportation and I. This is why I wrote the article about surviving the commute: as a reminder for me.
6.) Remember, Remember the 5th of November.
7.) The boy knows the way to this fat girl's heart: donuts.
8.) A big highlight for me was Growler's Hawthorne AND Ft. George retweeting, favoriting, and responding to a tweet about this blog. The little things.

Hope you have a good rest of your week,
Autumn

Beer Pick: November 2014

Hello there all,

Just here with this month's beer pick. This month, I am paying homage to one of my favorite Oregon breweries: Fort George. This beer is all of the deliciousness of a stout with some slight hints of coffee which is perfect for this time of year. It is something that you will gladly have warm up your belly because it is just so scrumptious.

Fort George has a special place in my heart because it is the first brewery tour that I went on. Additionally, the Mister and I went to Astoria (home of Fort George) on our first trip together as a couple. In that cute little coastal town, it was where I realized that I loved that kiddo, and I've been doomed ever since :).

We got a growler fill from our favorite fill station in Portland: Growlers Hawthorne.

No, I have not been sponsored by Growlers Hawthorne or Fort George. My taste buds are the only things that sponsored this.

Autumns up (like bottoms up...get it?),

Snapshots 4

Hello there all,

Here are some glimpses of my week.

1.) We got a growler fill at Growlers Hawthorne. We are so glad that we found this place. It gives such a wonderful selection of beers that we can sample, and the prices are ridiculously reasonable for their craft selection. Also, they have kombucha!

2.) The Mister and I have crossed another thing off of the autumn list this week. We went to Bella Organic Pumpkin Patch. While we were there, we saved three adorable greenish pumpkins because we love misfits and wanted to make sure that they got a home. They deserve love, too. We also got some delicious apple cider and shared a Voodoo ear (chocolate, peanut butter, and bacon elephant ear). No photo, but we also went to a haunted house this week. We almost got the whole list checked off in one week!

3.) All of the leaves have been extra colorful, and they are all so gorgeous.

4.) I made these delicious ginger molasses cookies. This recipe makes a billion of them, and they were all so delicious. If you make this recipe though, I'd suggest a little less butter.

5.) It has been raining like crazy here, and I have a love-hate relationship with rain. When I am inside, I love it. When I am outside, I am too wet to feel love for anything.

6.) This week, I have been obsessed with my fleece leggings. Also, I just love feet pictures.
